Latitudinal Difference in the Condition Factor of Two Loliginidae Squid (Beka Squid and Indian Squid) in China Seas

چکیده
Cephalopod fisheries in the China Seas have witnessed an increasing trend catches of coastal cephalopods since 1990s, with Loliginidae squid emerging as main commercial target species. However, climate change and overfishing led to a dramatic reduction resources, highlighting need improve monitoring, protection, management this The Loligo beka Uroteuthis duvaucelii are widely distributed along areas Seas, ecological importance. Despite having overlapping distributions, similar life histories, strong dependence on marine environment, there is limited knowledge about their growth responses environmental changes, hindering effective resources. In study, we investigated interspecies intra-species differences condition factor temperature changes by analyzing data collected from wide June 2019 November 2020. findings showed that both species exhibited allometric reproduced throughout year, two breeding peaks. There were significant monthly variations latitude growth, higher proportion small-sized individuals (between 5 10 g for L. between 20 U. duvaucelii) low-latitude waters. latitudinal body weight distribution within mainly due natural habitats, especially temperature. Our mixed effect model results demonstrated species’ increased temperature, suggesting adaptability can be used indicator studying Seas. These implications understanding population dynamics, development, regionally specific

Some aspects of the reproductive biology of the Indian squid, Uroteuthis duvauceli, were studied from June 2006 to May 2007. A total of 1200 specimens were collected from approximately 30-80m depths by trawling in 50 stations, of which 360 samples were studied for sex determination and fecundity. The minimum and maximum total and mantle length, and body weight were recorded in December and June...

متن کاملSquid retinochrome
Retinochrome is a photosensitive pigment located primarily in the inner portions of the visual cells of cephalopods. Its absorption spectrum resembles that of rhodopsin, but its chromophore is all-trans retinal, which light isomerizes to 11-cis, the reverse of the situation in rhodopsin. The 11-cis photoproduct of retinochrome slowly reverts to retinochrome in the dark. The chromophoric site of...
